Dr. Greenfield attended college at Washington University in St. Louis, then came to the Tri-state area to attend graduate school at Miami University. However, he had a change in his career plans and earned his DVM degree at Purdue University in May 2002, starting work at Hebron Animal Hospital one month later.

Professionally, Dr. Greenfield enjoys seeing guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, and other small mammals in addition to cats and dogs. Dr. Greenfield holds a special place in his heart for guinea pigs, and he has had one or more as pets since Junior High School. He likes working with clients on behavioral training issues, and doing soft tissue surgery. He feels that client education is very important and works hard to help every client understand the “whys” behind all of the “what's” that we do for their pets.

Dr. Greenfield, his wife Joy, and kids Alex and Megan currently share their home with 4 cats and 2 guinea pigs. Outside the clinic, Dr. Greenfield spends much of his time at the Cincinnati Curling Club, playing competitively, instructing, and serving on the board. Dr. Greenfield is a big sports fan, and he enjoys playing disc golf, softball and previously played competitive miniature golf. He proudly displays his multiple Putt Putt course championship trophies in his office.

When his kids were younger, he was highly involved as a volunteer in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and American Heritage Girls. He enjoys camping, hiking, backpacking and kayaking, and enjoys vacations in the mountains and visiting national parks. He is a proponent of protecting the environment, and with his influence, the staff now recycles many items at the clinic that were previously thrown away.
