Reba

Treat Consumption Specialist

Reba is a senior pit mix that was pulled from a rural animal shelter by Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue, based out of Indianapolis. The rescue asked through social media if someone could foster Reba, and keep her comfortable in the last days of her life. Reba was diagnosed with double breast cancer, and her tumors are inoperable. Our practice manager, Amanda, found the rescue's plea and applied to foster Reba and give her palliative care.

Reba has starred in several of our educational videos, including canine cancer, and she has been a big star when it comes to being on camera. Reba has not been given long to live, but she has won the hearts of many employees and clients. If you see Reba when in our hospital, make sure you give her a big hug - she loves the attention of all humans.

Our beautiful Reba passed onto the rainbow bridge on June 28, 2024. She was surrounded by many of her human coworkers and of course so much love. Reba will be missed by so many, and she was well known for asking for treats at the front desk - that was her entire job of course! Not only was she one of the sweetest pitbulls, but she was a tough one with all that she endured in life before our practice manager found her through rescue. Please keep the Hebron Animal Hospital employees in your thoughts, as we mourn our beloved Reba.
