Friends of the Shelter
Friends of the Shelter is a nonprofit organization that works with 6 northern Kentucky shelters, this is the group that puts on pet fest every year. Our practice manager, Amanda, recently became a board member and will be a great addition to the rescue community in our area. Amanda and her husband are involved in a nonprofit organization in Indianapolis called Peaceful Souls Animal Rescue and Recovery, and their mission is assisting and recovering lost dogs. Amanda has been on their board for several years, so we believe she will be a fabulous resource to Friends of the Shelter and help bring new ideas with her experience in rescue.
Pet Fest
Pet Fest has been moved from June to September. Actual date is to be determined.
PetFest is held annually on the last Sunday of June and is our largest fundraising event of the year. The goal of PetFest is to raise awareness about animal lifesaving activities in our region, connect people with area businesses and nonprofit organizations that share our love of animals, and generate funds for all FOTS programs.
